If I were asked what my family’s business was, I would have to say, “the military”. My Dad, Grandpa , Uncles, and even cousins served in some manner or another; so, it doesn’t surprise me that I have this yearning to serve. I distinctly remember my dad, who was about 15 years into his career at the time, telling me that if I wanted to go into the military I might as well go to college first and become an officer. (He was right, by the way!)
Well, in my junior or senior year of college I went to a network marketing event where this millionaire stood in front of a huge audience and spoke of passive income, working from home, and so much more. I was hooked on the idea that I could run a lucrative business on the side of the military. I signed up, but that network marketing gig didn’t last for me. As a matter of fact, neither did the other seven business venture attempts and a myriad of other projects and ideas since that time. Now, after completing 24 years of military service and being a husband and father of four, SOMETHING HAS GOT TO CHANGE!
